Enjoy 3 days/2 nights at the Willard family cabin, located in the town of Willard, in the deep woods on the Washington side above the Columbia Gorge. More like a house than a cabin, it's the perfect headquarters for many regional activities such as hiking, white-water rafting, wind surfing, visiting the lava caves, skiing Mt. Hood, fishing or wine tasting. Or, it's a place where one can completely relax and reflect on nature or read your favorite book. The cabin has a full kitchen plus a large deck overlooking the rushing Moss Creek as it joins the Little White Salmon River. It sleeps 6-8 comfortably and has 1-1/4 bath. A bonfire pit is available for late night gatherings and s'mores. This retreat is located a little over an hour east of Vancouver, WA, and only 1/2 hour from Hood River, OR.
Host twenty-four (24) friends in your backyard OAsis. A team from the Orphans Africa Board will decorate your backyard with Tiki torches, leis for your guests, the whole shebang! Full set up and tear down is included. There will be a live DJ and Hawaiian themed appetizers provided. You can relax and enjoy your own party!
You and up to two of your friends will climb aboard a 1948 Piper PA-14 (rebuilt in 2012 by Yakima Aerosport), one of the finest PA-14s in the world for one to two hours of flightseeing over the Chugach Mountains in beautiful and rugged Alaska. Soar over dramatic scenery such as Flattop Mountain, Eagle Glacier, Whiteout Glacier, George Glacier, Inner Lake George and Colony Glacier, Knik Glacier, and Knik River. Previous passengers have spotted moose, sheep, mountain goats, and even wolves and black and/or brown bears!
Includes a two-night stay at the fabulous Lakefront Anchorage Hotel located just three miles from Anchorage on Lake Hood. The spacious room accommodates up to a family of four, or two couples. (Should two couples purchase the package, the pilot will include an extra flightseeing trip at no cost, so that "everyone gets a ride." (Should the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel be full at the time of desired flightseeing, similar accommodations will be found.)
Passengers will be asked to sign a limited release confining injury/death claims to insurance limits of $100K per seat. Flight will likely be flown on floats, but possibly on wheels, depending on the time of year. Point of departure: Lake Hood Seaplane Base. The Piper PA-14 (family cruiser) was completely rebuilt in 2012 and is highly modified for Alaska bush flying. Alaskan Michael Schneider, a bush plane pilot since 1980, has logged over 2,000 hours and has a limited commercial rating (wheels). Winner to coordinate schedule with Mr. Schneider. While there is no “expiration date,” for safety reasons the flight is weather dependent.
